The highlight of this tour is the 4 nights Yangtze River cruise, you'll have a relaxed time on luxury 5* cruise ship and visit the famed Three Gorges Dam Project.

 

Day 1 Arrive Shanghai (no meal)

On arrival you will be met by our representative and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon you will be free at leisure. Evening cruise on Huangpu River (1 hour) to see bund with lights on.

 

Day 2 Shanghai (B, L)

Enjoy a full day orientation tour of Shanghai. Visit Yuyuan Garden, a typical Chinese garden with pool-sized lakes, rockery mountains and pavilions; you’ll also have some free time in the old town area, to experience Shanghai’s old age. Walking along the waterfront Bund to see European architectures left from colonial period. After lunch at a local restaurant, you will visit the Jade Buddha Temple and Shanghai Museum You’ll also have chance to visit a carpet factory.

This evening you will enjoy a stunning Acrobatic show.

 

Day 3 Discover Suzhou (B, L)

Today, you’ll take express train to the picturesque city of Suzhou. Designated as World Heritage Site in 1997 and praised since ancient times as China’s “garden city”; its famed gardens are “living poems”, enjoying a unique position in world gardening history that spans 2,000 years. You’ll visit the Garden of Humble Administrator which is the largest garden of its kind. After lunch at local restaurant, visit a silk factory and will take a short cruise on the Grand Canal to watch the busy traffic of barges and junks passing under the half-moon bridges that dates from the Ming Dynasty.

This evening enjoy the Night Garden Show at Garden of Nets Master.

 

Day 4 Suzhou-Shanghai-Yichang-On board (B, D)

Drive to Shanghai airport this morning to take a flight to Yichang.

Yichang was a small forgotten town on the Yangtze River, till it was hurled into the modern age by the building of the Yangtze River Dam. After dinner in Yichang proceed to the pier to board your Yangtze Cruise ship, home for your next 4 day’s journey.

 

Day 5 On board (B, L, D)

Today, the ship will pass through the East part of Xiling Gorge of the Yangtze and arrive Yangjiawan Pier. Shore excursion to the Three Gorges Dam Project. Passing through the Three Gorges Dam 5-stage ship locks.

Breakfast, lunch & dinner on board.

 

Day 6 On board (B, L, D)

Sail through Wu Gorge, known for its magnificent scenery of lush green mountains. Enter the Qutang Gorge-the shortest and narrowest gorge of the Three Gorges & the West section of Xiling Gorge. Today’s shore excursion is the Daning River Small Gorges or Shennong Stream.
Breakfast, lunch & dinner on board.

 

Day 7 On board (B, L, D)

Shore excursion to Fengdu (Ghost City) or Shibaozhai, a combination of walking and climbing (This is subject to changes according to water level).

Enjoy breakfast, lunch & dinner on board.

 

Day 8 On board-Chongqing-Guilin (B, L)

Arrive at Chongqing in the morning. You will then take a flight to Guilin - famous for its wonderful scenery, rivers and karst peaks covered in lush vegetation. Guilin has a long history as the most beautiful place in China. Continue tour after lunch to visit Reed Flute Cave and Fubo Hill.

(Note: if there is only late flight Chongqing/Guilin, the itinerary will change to two nights in Guilin & one night in Xi’an)

 

Day 9 Guilin-Xi’an (B, L)

A day enjoy a downstream cruise on the Lijiang River and be exposed to the indescribable beauty and scenery surrounding it. Lunch is served on board. Disembark at Yangshuo, a small town, which has become something of the tourists. The relaxing pace of life here, friendly people, good food, scenic beauty, rice fields and clear streams, country roads for cycling, all make it the paradise for those who wish to get a rest from the harsher aspects of life in the big cities. You’ll have chance to visit a pearl factory.

This evening you’ll flight to Xi’an, the great ancient capital and the eastern end of the Silk Road. The Tang Dynasty Emperors, who ruled from 618-906, made this city a center for artists, architects, poets and priest from all over Asia. You are transferred to hotel upon arrival.

 

Day 10 Xi’an (B, L)

This exciting day of sightseeing will include the Terra-cotta Worriors and Horses at the Tomb of Qin Shi Huang, the first Qin Emeror, and the Bronze Chariots. After lunch at a local restaurant, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda which was built in 652 AD. It contains a large volume of Buddhist scriptures which were obtained from India by the eminent monk Xuanzang.

 

Day 11 Xi’an-Beijing (B, L)

Today you’ll visit to History Museum-which exhibits over 3,000 historical relics, ranging from 115,000 year old prehistoric artifacts to items from the Opium Wars of the 1840’s. Coming out of the museum, you’ll have a pause to the Ming Dynasty City Wall, the only intact city wall remaining in China today. You’ll also have some time to visit a jade factory.

This evening you’ll be transferred to airport for evening flight to Beijing - the capital of China.

Upon arrival, you’ll be met & transferred to your hotel to check-in.

 

Day 12 Beijing (B, L, D)

A morning tour of Tian’anmen Square, the largest public square in the world, and the Palace Museum, known as the Forbidden City; the complex of imperial palaces are home to the emperors for over 500 years in the Ming and Qing dynasties. After lunch, visit to the Summer Palace, a former summer resort for the royal family.

This evening you will be treated to a delicious Beijing roast duck dinner.

 

Day 13 Beijing (B, L)

Drive north today to the Great Wall - the landmark of China. It is one of the most amazing feats of human labor. You’ll take cable car up and visit the Mutianyu section. After lunch, you’ll continue your sightseeing to the Temple of Heaven, where the Ming and Qing emperors prayed for good harvest. It is the largest temple complex remaining in China today. You’ll also visit a traditional medical center and to experience a foot reflexology.

You will have a relaxing evening to pack or prepared for the departure.

 

Day 14 Beijing- Departure (B)

You’ll be free until your transfer to airport for homebound flight.

End of your unforgettable China & Yangtze trip.

- Child Fare
* Children under 2 years of age traveling with their parents pay 10% of tour cost.
* Children aged between 2-6 years pay 50% of full fare, children aged between 7-11 years   pay 75% of full fare, entitled to an extra bed in parent’s room

* Children at 12 years of age and over pay full fare.


- Please be noted
* Tour price does not include excess baggage and any personal expenses.
* All tours are conducted in English.
* Extra USD33 would be charged for one passenger's one way airport transfer.

* Extra USD20 p.p. would be charged for arrival/departure before/after the scheduled date.

* Entrance fees and domestic airfares are based on current rate. Should there be major increases, we shall reserve our right to adjust them.

* All costs are in US dollars.

 

- Reservation
* Following information would require upon reservation:

  - Full names of all passengers with passport details

  - Name of tour that passengers are to take

  - Arrival & departure flight details.

  - Room type requirements (Due to limited double-bed rooms at hotels in China, double-bed rooms are always subject to availability upon hotel check in)

* Reservation will be confirmed within 48 working hours unless under special circumstances

 

- Deposit
* Under any special circumstances and a deposit is required, a deposit will apply accordingly.

 

- Cancellation
* 15 days before scheduled date of departure - no cancellation charge.
* Between 8-15 days -  5% of total tour cost.
* Between 2-7 days -  30% of total tour cost.
* Within 24hours -  50% of total tour cost plus tour expense of the first day.
* If a participant cancels while a tour is in progress, no refunds would be made for un-used portion of the tour.
