Day 1 Beijing (no meal)
Upon arrival, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel.

This afternoon, you’ll visit the Temple of Heaven. You will be free for the remainder of the day.


Day 2 Beijing (B, L)

A morning tour of Tian'anmen Square, the largest public square in the world, and the Palace Museum, known as the Forbidden City; the complex of imperial palaces which is home to the emperors for over 500 years in the Ming and Qing dynasties. After lunch you will be driven to visit the Summer Palace, a former summer resort for the royal family, and take a boat ride on its Lake Kunming if weather permits (not for Winter season). You will have chance to shop at a pearl market on the way back to down town. This evening, you will be at leisure or take an optional evening show – “the Legend of Kungfu”.


Day 3 Beijing (B, L, D)
Join a full day excursion to include the Great Wall - the landmark of China and one of the most amazing feats of human labour. You are to visit the less crowded Mutianyu section with cable car included. Mid afternoon, you’ll return to downtown and will visit the old Beijing Hutongs – by trishaw and have tea at a local family. This evening you will be treated to a delicious Beijing roast duck dinner.


Day 4 Beijing - Lhasa (3700 m) (B)

You are transferred to airport for morning flight to Lhasa. Upon arrival at Gonggar airport, you are met & transferred to Lhasa city (1-2 hrs drive). On the way, you’ll be greeted by Nie Tang Buddha – a Buddha image engraved on the mountain. Remainder of the day you’ll be at leisure to acclimatize yourself to the high altitude.


Day 5 Lhasa (B, L)

After breakfast, you’ll join guided sightseeing to Lhasa’s cardinal landmark- Potala Palace. This massive 13-story building used to be the highest building prior to the early period of last century, used to be the former winter abode for the Dalai Lamas. It looks incredibly magnificent from a distance and could be viewed from various places around the town. As the nation’s supreme relic, the palace dates back to 7th century A.D. This afternoon, you’ll visit the Sera Monastery, which was founded in 1419 by Sakya Yeshe, a disciple of Tsongkhapa. The “Buddhism Scriptures Debating” in Sera is very famous.


Day 6 Lhasa (B, L)

After breakfast, you’ll join guided sightseeing to the most revered religious structure in Tibet- Jokhang Temple. Jokhang, the most sacred temple in Tibet, refers to “Buddha’s House” in Tibetan language because the main statue enshrined is said to be made by Buddha Sakyamuni himself in his lifetime. Jokhang Temple is the convergence of Tibet’s spiritual and secular life, like Mecca for the Muslims, here you can meet all the tribes from Tibetan plateau. The surrounding market is called Barkhor, one of the most important religious paths, which also assembles people for shopping. This afternoon, you’ll visit Norbulingkha, the summer palace of the Dalai Lama.


Day 7 Lhasa-Tsedang-Samye 165km (B, L)

We will drive along the Tsangpo River to visit the fantastic Samye Monastery, believed to be Tibetan’s first monastery, built between 775 and 779. The original building is no longer intact due to destruction caused by wars and natural disasters, but the monastery has been rebuilt and still remains the symbol of Tibetan's national identity. Its main building is a three-story tower with an interior influenced by Tibetan, Han and Indian styles. In the afternoon, you’ll visit to Yumbulakhang Palace- the first building in Tibet as the palace for the first Tibetan king.


Day 8 Tsedang-Yamdroktso-Gyantse (3900m). 340 km, 7 hrs (B, L)

After breakfast, we depart for Gyantse. After about 3.5 hours’ drive, we’ll climb over the snow pass of Kambala (4790m) and have a great view of the Yamdrok Lake. The view of the lake and the snow peak afar are marvelous and impressive. Driving down from the mountain, we continue our trip along the lakeside, and arrive Gyantse in the late afternoon. We’ll visit Perkhor Chode Monastery at the sunset time.


Day 9 Gyantse-Shigatse (3800m). 90 km, 1.5 hrs (B, L)

After breakfast, we depart the small town of Gyantse for Shigatse, the second largest city in Tibet and the capital of Tsang, ying 354 km west of Lhasa at an altitude of 3,810 m/12,570 ft. We’ll visit to the impressive Tashilhunpo Monastery, home of Panchen Lama, a sprawling complex with a gigantic Maitreya (Future Buddha) statue. We’ll also visit Shigatse's outdoor market and hunt for some real treasures.


Day 10 Shigatse-Lhasa 280 km, 3.5 hrs (B, L)

Today we’ll have an easy journey, driving along the Yarlu Tsangpo River and return to Lhasa. On the way, we’ll stop at a small village at the roadside to visit the Tibetan handmade incense mill and workshop.


Day 11 Lhasa - Shanghai (B)

You’ll have a leisure morning. You’ll check out hotel at noon time and depart for airport for flight to Shanghai, a cosmopolitan, bustling and heavily populated city in China. You’ll be transferred to hotel and free for the evening.


Day 12 Shanghai (B, L, D)

Your sightseeing today features a tour of the Yuyuan Garden, the old area of the city, and a stroll along the lively waterfront, known as the "Bund". After lunch, you’ll have a visit to the Jade Buddha Temple. You’ll also have chance to experience a traditional tea ceremony. After dinner, you’ll enjoy a stunning acrobatic show.


Day 13 Departure (B)
At leisure until your transfer to the Pudong airport for homebound flight.

Apply for Tibet Travel Permit:

All travelers are able to get a Tibet Permit through travel agencies except diplomats, journalists, and senior government officials who should travel to Tibet under the arrangement by the Foreign Affairs Office of Tibet Government. To get the Tibet Permit you need to hold a valid passport for at least 6 months, with valid Chinese visa and should submit the following information by fax/email at least 15 days prior to arrival: full name, gender, date of birth, passport number, nationality & occupation, as well as passport & visa copies.

- Child Fare
* Children under 2 years of age traveling with their parents pay 10% of tour cost.
* Children aged between 2-6 years pay 50% of full fare, children aged between 7-11 years   pay 75% of full fare, entitled to an extra bed in parent’s room

* Children at 12 years of age and over pay full fare.

- Please be noted
* Tour price does not include excess baggage and any personal expenses.
* All tours are conducted in English.
* Extra USD33 would be charged for one passenger's one way airport transfer.

* Extra USD20 p.p. would be charged for arrival/departure before/after the scheduled date.

* Entrance fees and domestic airfares are based on current rate. Should there be major increases, we shall reserve our right to adjust them.

* All costs are in US dollars.


- Reservation
* Following information would require upon reservation:

  - Full names of all passengers with passport details

  - Name of tour that passengers are to take

  - Arrival & departure flight details.

  - Room type requirements (Due to limited double-bed rooms at hotels in China, double-bed rooms are always subject to availability upon hotel check in)

* Reservation will be confirmed within 48 working hours unless under special circumstances


- Deposit
* Under any special circumstances and a deposit is required, a deposit will apply accordingly.


- Cancellation
* 15 days before scheduled date of departure - no cancellation charge.
* Between 8-15 days -  5% of total tour cost.
* Between 2-7 days -  30% of total tour cost.
* Within 24hours -  50% of total tour cost plus tour expense of the first day.
* If a participant cancels while a tour is in progress, no refunds would be made for un-used portion of the tour.
